Essential oils should be avoided during pregnancy

Aromatherapy can be during pregnancy to minimize pain and other symptoms of an advantage, but there are also some chemical compounds in some essential oils that act like hormones and therefore should be better omitted. These include anetholreiche oils such as fennel and anise.

Some essential oils that you better not take during pregnancy act, “only” abortifacient, so they can trigger a premature birth, many are also simply toxic.
